Meet Brandon Ro: The Creator & Visionary of Show What You Know

Show What You Know was created by Brandon Ro, a businessman, innovator, entertainer, and one of the masterminds behind The Urban Trivia Game, a card game and touring live game show experience celebrating Black culture.

Since he was a kid, Brandon has always had a mind full of quotes. Song lyrics, movie lines, TV show moments you name it, he could pull it out at the most random yet somehow perfect time. And after every quote, he’d hit you with the same question: “What was that on?” That simple question became the spark.

With a deep love for the golden era of television, a sharp memory for the moments that shaped the culture, and a passion for bringing people together, Brandon turned that spark into Show What You Know. What started as a TV theme song battle during intermission at Urban Trivia Live quickly grew into something bigger. Brandon saw how people lit up when they heard a theme song, remembered a character, or shouted out the answer before anybody else could. That energy deserved its own game.

So he expanded the concept into a full experience combining trivia, Taboo-style word guessing, charades-style challenges, and head-to-head theme song battles into one ultimate 90s TV game night. Show What You Know was built for the people who grew up quoting their favorite shows, singing every theme song, and arguing over classic characters like the episode aired yesterday.
